Sculptural Bee Necklace - Gold Plated Sterling Silver

The aerial body of a bee sculpted in sterling silver, plated in 14k yellow gold and strung on a delicate chain.

The body of the insect is hand-sculpted in wax and then cast in metal. The wings are hand cut from a thin silver plate that has been textured using horse hair. The horse hair creates a surface pattern that mimics the beautiful and delicate veins of the insect’s wings.
